My hometown, Chiangrai

                         In Thailand, there are many tourist attractions. Chiangrai is the northernmost of Thailand and has many famous tourist attractions. White Temple and Black House Museum are made by national artists that born in Chiangrai. Chiangrai still has Hall of Opium that keeps the story of opium in the past.                        

                        White Temple is the temple that stands out through the white color and the use of glass mosaic. White Temple doesn't have any monks. White Temple is the artistic work of Chalermchai Kositpipat. He is a national artist. He wants to make this temple like heaven. He has three inspirations to make White Temple. These inspirations are the nation, religion and the king that is King Rama IX.      

                  

                        Black House Museum is the wooden house that collects artistic works, skin, bones, and teeth of a wide array of animals. Everything in Black House Museum is black or give a dark aura. Black House Museum is made by Thawan Duchanee. He is a national artist like Chalermchai Kositpipat. He wants to make this house like hell but isn't hell. So he thinks the opposite Chalermchai Kositpipat that he wants to make temple like heaven. Although he died, Black House Museum also open every day.   

                     

                        Hall of Opium is like a museum. This area has even planted the opium. There aren't have opium plantation now because opium is very dangerous. Hall of Opium keeps the history of opium in Chiangrai. Hall of Opium has stories about the origin of opium, opium war, opium warlords, drug smuggles, opium effects, and others.          

              

                        In my opinion, I think White Temple and Black House Museum are the greatest place of art I see. They make me two feeling. White Temple makes me feel like I am in heaven. But Black House Museum makes me feel like I am in hell. Two places that are different are in the same place, C้hiangrai. It's wonderful. Hall of Opium tells me how dangerous the opium makes. I think I won't be near the opium since then.
